Description
Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati was a remarkable young man. An avid mountain climber, he saw many parallels between the sport and Catholic life. At the summit, he felt closest to God. Frassati organized climbing expeditions that began with the Holy Mass and included prayer and conversations about faith. Popular and outgoing, he advocated for social justice, and for the poor and marginalized. When poliomyelitis claimed his life at only 24 yrs. old, Frassati’s conviction of God’s goodness would live on in his family and many friends whose lives he touched.
